Quick and Easy Pappardelle Pasta
This quick and easy recipe brings the taste of Italy to your table in no time—comforting, versatile, and effortlessly delicious!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 medium onions, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced (use more if preferred)
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 lb (12 oz) Herd & Grace Ground Beef
1 can (12 oz) petite diced tomatoes (or equivalent fresh tomatoes, diced)
12 oz pappardelle noodles
Grated Reggiano Parmesan cheese, to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce:
Heat olive oil in a medium-sized pan over medium heat.
Add onions and garlic to the pan and sauté until translucent and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
Stir in mushrooms, rosemary, and thyme. Cook until the mushrooms release their moisture and become aromatic, about 3 minutes.
Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned and partially cooked through, stirring occasionally.
Incorporate Tomatoes: Stir in the diced tomatoes (canned or fresh). Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 5-7 minutes to blend the flavors.
Cook the Pappardelle:
While the sauce is simmering, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the pappardelle noodles and cook until al dente, approximately 10-12 minutes (or follow the package instructions).
Combine Pasta and Sauce:
Using tongs, transfer the cooked pappardelle noodles directly from the boiling water into the sauce pan. (A little pasta water is fine and will help the sauce adhere to the noodles.)
Toss the noodles in the sauce over medium heat for 1-2 minutes to absorb any excess water and coat the pasta evenly.
Plate the pasta and finish with a generous sprinkling of grated Reggiano Parmesan cheese.
Enjoy your hearty and flavorful Pappardelle Pasta!
