Mushroom with Red Wine Sauce
Ingredients:
2tbsp. butter or GHee
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/2 shallot sliced thin
3 cloves fresh garlic
1 cup mushrooms
1 cup broth
1 cup wine
1 teaspoon thyme
PREPARATION:
Gather ingredients, melt butter, and then add shallots and Garlic, and caramelize. Once caramelized ( approx. 5 minutes) add the olive oil and bring the pan up to high heat, add the mushrooms and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add the red wine and let it roll on a low boil until the mushrooms are cooked adding the broth as needed. stir frequently. Once the mixture is reduced and the mushrooms are at your desired likeness remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh thyme. Use sauce over anything you like such as; steak, chicken, turkey, hamburger you name it!
