Peanut Butter Marshmallow Creme Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz chocolate (or more)

  • 1 1/2 cups milk

  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream

  • 1/4 teaspoon arrowroot

  • 1 cup Marshmallow cream (see recipe)

  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

You can use any kind of chocolate you like but I like to make it with a high cocoa content dark chocolate – around 70%. That makes it ‘healthy’ hot chocolate too, right?

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat both kinds of milk together in a saucepan, then break the chocolate into it and whisk until it melted in.

  2. Add the Arrowroot and Continue to mix until it has completely dissolved and the mixture gets thick. Turn down the heat to a low simmer and continue to stir.

  3. Once everything is mixed-well, fold in the peanut butter.

  4. Once everything is mixed together turn off the heat and fold in the Marshmallow cream and stir completely.

  5. Pour into small cups, and add marshmallows or peanut shavings, or chocolate shavings for fun!
