Cherry Compote

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of cherries Cleaned and pitted

  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons of corn starch or plain flour

  • 3 tablespoons of water

PREPARATION:

  1. In a small sauce pan stir cherries and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and cook slowly for about 3-5 min.

  2. In a small bowl stir together flour and water until there are no clumps.

  3. Pour mixture into the cherries stirring constantly until on low until mixture thickens

  4. Remove from heat and let cool Serve with vanilla ice cream or with whip cream on in a mousse or pudding
